The History Contained in the Knox Historical Museum

Many of our visitors focus on just the exhibits of artifacts from Knox County's and Southeastern Kentucky's past that fill several rooms and hallways, while others dwell on the numerous photographs that line the walls of the Museum and our Photo Archives room.

There's also the new Knox County Genealogy Center and the William Sherman Oxendine Library, which focuses on Knox and adjacent counties, consisting of numerous old maps, books, documents, and audio and video collections.
