1957 flooding of Lynn Camp Creek

29 January 1957: the banks of the Lynn Camp Creek overflowed and caused major flooding in the city of Corbin and on the Knox County side of the creek. The flood was two feet below the record 1946 stage. The flooding caused devastation to homes and businesses located on the Lynn Camp Creek's banks. Recovery was soon to follow.
